'How to Get Away with Murder' Season 2 Spoilers: fans want to know who killed Rebecca; Will Oliver and Connor stay together?

(ABC/official Facebook page)

Fall can't come soon enough for the second season of "How to Get Away with Murder" to start airing. After a very successful first season, fans are looking forward to what the show has got to offer on its second season. The first season already had so many twists and turns and surprises—a dead sorority girl (Lila), a dead professor's husband (Sam, who we thought killed the sorority girl), a collusion between law students and professor to keep the murder under wraps and another dead girl's body found in the basement (Rebecca, the other initial suspect for the sorority girl's murder).

We watched four innocent law students' lives get entangled in a web that, to be honest about it, they are not likely to escape. Murder and covering up murder will do that. What is clear is that the students, and Professor Annalise Keating, and everyone else involved will have no choice but to be a part of each other's lives or at the very least, they won't ever be completely OUT of each other's lives because of the shared guilt and experience.

So what can we expect in Season 2? Here is what we know:

We will get to find out who killed Rebecca Sutter. Odds on favorite is Frank. But then it could also be Wes, who was very emotional during the finale. Another suspect is whoever Rebecca sent the "EGGS 911" message to, probably to keep her quiet.

Connor and Oliver's relationship will figure prominently in season 2. They started out less than ideally, it being an opportunistic relationship, with Connor using sex to get information from Oliver, but their relationship evolved into something more. The revelation at the end of season 1 that Oliver is HIV while Connor is not was heartbreaking for a lot of fans and will be also be one of the key story arcs of the second season.

Creator Pete Nowalk said during a Television Academy Panel, "It's our goal to treat that in a way that's real and gives representation to a whole community of people that haven't been on network TV in a while."

Nowalk further added that producers are hoping to work with GLAAD to get the story right. "Oliver and Connor are very important to me and they have a huge fan base. Their relationship will play a big part in season two," he said.

Nowalk also told Entertainment Weekly after the finale aired and people were devastated by the reveal, "Connor has a good heart and wants Oliver to be OK. Just watching him feel that distraught and scared at the end with the new that he's positive, Connor need to figure out what his role in in the relationship now."

There will be an explanation about the relationship between Frank and Sam. What did Frank owe Sam that he had could be called upon to kill Lila?

We might get to discover that Wes and Annalise are related in some way. Annalise and Wes shared a very emotional scene in the season 1 finale. They have displayed some kind of bond all throughout Season 1, and she let him get away with Sam's murder. They may have a connection that has not yet been explored.

There will be a new character who will join Season 2. And that person "...figures prominently into Annalise's life," according to Nowalk during the same panel, careful not to spoil too much.

Nowalk also said the show will follow the same structure as season 1, meaning there will be no rules. Flash backs, flash forwards, or a linear story telling. Any strategy can be used and he wants to keep it fresh.

Season 2 of "How to Get Away with Murder" will air in the fall.
