Production for the third season of "How to Get Away with Murder" has officially started. As expected, the news has renewed fan interest on what Annalise and the Keating Five will be up to next season.

Fans of the massively popular drama received some good news when "How to Get Away with Murder" showrunner Peter Nowalk posted a photo on Instagram that he simply captioned as the first shoot day of the season. The photo doesn't reveal much by way of a plot as it only shows Asher (Matt McGorry), Bonnie (Liza Weil), Connor (Jack Falahee), and Laurel (Karla Souza) in the court room.

The scene in the court room appears to lend credence to Nowalk's previous statements regarding his plans for season 3. The showrunner previously explained in interviews that the case-of-the-week format took a backseat in season 2 because it focused on Annalise's (Viola Davis) baby, her connection to Rose (Kelsey Scott) and Wes' (Alfred Enoch) backstory. But since Nowalk likes to switch things up, he says he will "probably try to do a balance." What the producer is sure of, though, is that the show will still be all about Annalise.

"She loves her job, and I don't think she's the same person if she's not doing it," Nowalk explained to TV Line. "So, whether that's case of the week or case of the season, seeing her at work is what I care about."

There's no question that Annalise is one of the best at her job. However, her unconventional methods will reportedly be scrutinized next season. There have been reports that viewers will be introduced to a "self-assured, friendly and warm" university president in season 3. Unfortunately, the said president will reportedly make Annalise's complicated life even more challenging.

The premiere episode of "How to Get Away with Murder" season 3 will be aired on ABC on Sept. 22 at 10 p.m.
