The previous chapter of "Hunter X Hunter" saw a devastating twist in its final panel. Hisoka visibly injured—or lost—a hand in his fight with Chrollo, which has left fans thinking whether Hisoka will be able to survive in the next chapter. Will he make it out of there alive?

The revelation came as a shock to many fans, who have understandably been clamoring for details regarding the upcoming chapter. After all, chapter 355 ended on a massive cliffhanger.

Chapter 356 of "Hunter X Hunter" will reportedly see the battle between Hisoka and Chrollo continue. However, it seems that a third party will be involved in the upcoming installment. The company of this new person was not expected and neither of the two will know about him or her. It is unknown at this point if this mysterious stranger will aid Hisoka, or if he/she will provide back up to Chrollo. It is also possible that this additional person is just a passerby.

It is also unknown whether Hisoka will be able to recover from his injury, or if the damage that has been done is something that's permanent. It is unclear if he lost his hand entirely as well.

Fans loyal to Hisoka are under the impression that his victory shall eventually be realized. Even though the past few chapters have been hard on him, there are still those who believe that he will come out the winner in the end. Chrollo admittedly gained an edge over Hisoka, especially with his fighting style. Some fans, however, have been critical of Chrollo's style—opting for puppets to fight in his place and merely avoiding a real fight with Hisoka. It is possible that one will come up soon, though.

Given that it is assumed that a third party will appear in the next installment, things may turn around for Hisoka soon enough. All will be revealed in chapter 356 of "Hunter X Hunter."
