Fans of the manga have been eagerly following the highly anticipated match between two of "Hunter x Hunter's" most notorious villains. It has been quite the see-saw fight as the two appear to be evenly matched. However, the previous chapter showed the Magician outclassed by his former leader.

The previous chapter showed Hisoka apparently being overwhelmed by the puppets created by Chrollo. While the former continued to use his Bungee Gum attacks to bring down his opponents, the latter used his exploding puppets to take out Hisoka's leg and fingers. The last few frames of chapter 356 saw Chrollo's puppets rushing toward the fallen fighter. He utters, "Well, I guess... if I'm gonna.. die anyway," before an explosion ends the chapter.

Hisoka's enigmatic last words have led fans speculating that one way or another, chapter 357 will see this fight resolved. Some fans have theorized that the chapter would end with the Magician's death, while others have stated that Hisoka will take Chrollo down with him. However, it's unlikely that "Hunter x Hunter" author Yoshihiro Togashi would kill off two of his most-revered villains so one would probably be left standing. The question now is who survives the blast.

It's easy to assume that Chrollo has finally defeated Hisoka, but it should be pointed out that there have been hints that Gon is set to face the enigmatic Magician once more. There's always the possibility that Hisoka has one final trick up his sleeve that will enable him to defeat Chrollo.
