The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) women's gathering known as the Quadrennial Assembly 2014 has unveiled the logo for the event after the theme "I See You" was recently revealed.

Designer Michael Dominguez says the design's symbolism, which includes the theme in various languages, alludes to women, solidarity, diversity care, nurture, faith and dedication through Jesus Christ for making the world a better place.

"The inner circle with its vertical and horizontal lines symbolizes the world. The heart shape that surrounds the world is women, committed to be in solidarity with all peoples of the globe and help make the world a better place to live," he stated on the denomination's website.

"The shepherds crook across the center symbolizes care and nurture and the a cross on the left side symbolizes faith and dedication thru Jesus Christ. Finally, the multiple colors allude to the variety of all peoples of the world."

The event, set to take place between June 25-29, 2014 is being spearheaded by the 2014 Quadrennial Assembly planning committee – which includes a "multilingual, cross generational and multicultural collection of women."

Among the issues the gathering aims to put a spotlight on are, disenfranchisement, unity within the church, and human trafficking.
