The sequel to the NetherRealm game "Injustice: Gods Among Us," "Injustice 2," is not slated to arrive earlier than spring, but the studio has recently announced another piece of good news: The upcoming game will have a mobile version, which is suspected to arrive ahead of its console version as it has already soft-launched in one country.
Given the success of "Injustice: Gods Among Us," it is totally understandable why fans are eagerly awaiting the arrival of "Injustice 2." While it remains unclear when the mobile version of the game will be released globally, residents of the Philippines will be the first to try the free-of-charge game as the mobile version of "Injustice 2" has reportedly soft-launched there already.
However, it is suspected that it may not take that long before the rest of the world can experience "Injustice 2" mobile. After all, when the phenomenal "Pokemon GO" was soft-launched in Australia and New Zealand, it did not take long before the game was made available elsewhere in the world.
To the uninitiated, the first "Injustice" game also came with a companion app for iOS and Android. However, according to reports, the "Injustice 2" mobile version comes with a heavily upgraded version of the swipe and tap-based combat offered by "Injustice: Gods Among Us."
Meanwhile, it has been learned that "Injustice 2" will be available in two special editions once it arrives: The Deluxe Edition and the Ultimate Edition. The Deluxe Edition is priced $80, and those who will opt for it can expect to receive three additional characters once they become available.
The Ultimate Edition, on the other hand, will carry a price tag of $100 and will come with nine additional characters eventually.
However, those who will purchase either the Deluxe Edition or the Ultimate Edition can expect to receive two exclusive shader packs, Destroyer and Defender, along with three premiere skins.
"Injustice 2" is slated to arrive on May 16 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
