iOS 9.3.5 jailbreak news: no jailbreak out yet for Apple's newly-released iOS 9.3.5

(REUTERS/Michaela Rehle)Apple is currently testing the beta for iOS 10 while a newly released iOS 9.3.5 has been released to patch issues with the iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak version that Pangu rolled out.

Things are getting really tough for Apple as Pangu and other jailbreakers are constantly releasing their own versions of the technology giant's operating systems. An iOS 9.3.4 jailbreak is now available for fans to make use of.

On the other hand, Apple has bounced back from the issue and unexpectedly released the new iOS 9.3.5 to fix up the weaknesses exploited by hackers in the previous jailbreaks which were released over the past couple of weeks.

According to Mac Rumors, the new update is aimed to fix issues in the iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak that Pangu released recently. There are other major security fixes included with the update and all iOS users are expected to be able to download the new patch.

One of the main issues that the iOS 9.3.5 will fix is the spyware software created by NSO Group, which is now nicknamed "Pegasus." Pegasus is said to be very sophisticated, and if clicked by people who don't find the link suspicious, their communication systems can be intercepted. This includes phone calls, FaceTime calls, email conversations, text messages, and many other communication channels.

Human rights advocate Ahmed Mansoor was the first to discover the suspicious malware and sent the link to Citizen Lab and Lookout, two prominent security firms. Pegasus was then sent over to Apple where its team completed a fix for it within just 10 days.

It is unclear if Pangu and other jailbreakers will be able to come up with a hacked version of the iOS 9.3.5 soon but it seems Apple is very serious these days in keeping their operating systems insusceptible to similar attacks.

For now, those who are fond of jailbreaks can still use the iOS 9.3.4 jailbreak even without the use of a PC. Once the system is installed, the Cydia store will be available for access and apps can be downloaded.

Despite the infiltration risks that jailbroken versions of the iOS pose, there are still many users who prefer to use these editions, which results to many problems and security issues that Apple will have to face again in the near future.
