iOS 9.3 jailbreak update: When is the next tool being released?

(Apple)

It's already a few days into May and the iOS 9.3 jailbreak is still not here, and it's worth wondering when the next jailbreaking tool may actually be released.

When the iOS 9.3 first arrived, folks expected that a jailbreak for it would follow not long after. And yet, the beta version of the iOS 9.3.2 is now here and still no new tool has been made available.

A jailbreaking tool not being released for the iOS 9.3 seems to make sense, mainly because that piece of software was thought to be quite buggy so people began to expect that it may be bypassed in favor of releasing one for the iOS 9.3.1.

That hasn't been the case however, or at least not yet.

The iOS 9.3.1 has also been available for a while now and a tool for it has yet to be released as well.

Could jailbreaking teams bypass another version of iOS again and instead focus on creating a tool for the currently in beta iOS 9.3.2?

At the very least, that could be a possibility, and unfortunately, given how quietly these teams usually work, users won't know about a new tool coming out until it's actually already available to download.

As Forbes noted back in April, there's a slight chance that the next iOS jailbreak could be released in June, possibly even around the time that the WWDC gets underway.

By then, the full version of the iOS 9.3.2 may already be released, and the jailbreaking tool that could be made available may already account for it.

For now, it looks like jailbreak users will be in for quite the waiting game.

With iOS 10 looming over the horizon, perhaps the jailbreaking teams may just wait for that update to arrive before they release a new tool, though that could translate to an even longer period of waiting.

More news about the iOS 9.3 jailbreak and other tools that may be released should be made available in the near future.
