As of late, Apple has been silent on what they will offer this year since the recently concluded Worldwide Developers Conference was just a showcase of the company's latest software for their future devices. However, many Apple enthusiasts are now assuming that the company will be unveiling most of their hardware two months from now. Aside from the long-awaited iPhone 7 and the 2016 MacBook Pro, avid fans are also waiting for the compact iPad Mini 5.

The last iPad Mini was released fall of last year with major revamps on its external and internal specs. Since then, users have been asking what will the next iPad Mini offer to them as there are speculations going on that other yet-to-be-unveiled devices from Apple will just bear minute tweaks within them.

Moreover, it is said that the iPad Mini 5 might be slimmer as compared to its earlier models. Some analysts made a forecast that the rumored tablet would be around 5 millimeters thin, and if rumors were true, it will be the thinnest 8-inch tablet in the market.

The tablet, just like the other rumored devices from Apple, will bear an aluminum back cover, probably a 7,000-series type of the said metal. This is to further reinforce the said device since it was stated above that the company might go for a thinner iPad Mini 5 and this will prevent it from curving.

As for the tablet's internal specifications, it is said that it will have a more compact version of its battery pack with better performance. However, having said this, the battery might store a lesser amount of charge hence the device will have to be recharged more often. In addition, it is said that the iPad Mini 5 will be fused with the company's latest A9 chip which is reported to perform 70 percent faster than the A8 processor. Apple might also be considering the discontinuation of the 16 GB variant for their mobile devices, especially with the rumored iPad Mini 5.
