Apple has remained silent on news about the iPad Pro 2. While many analysts believe that the tablet will launch this week, there are a skeptical few who think that it won't happen.

The Apple event scheduled this week is said to be a platform to introduce the new MacBook Pro 2016 and MacBook Air 2016. And although Apple is reportedly tipped to refresh its iPad Pro lineup, the Cupertino-based tech giant has yet to confirm any rumors regarding the device.

As previously reported, there have been speculations that the upcoming tablet may be offered in three variants. First is a 7.9-inch tablet that will be the most affordable of the trio. This version of the iPad Pro 2 is expected to arrive with a smart connector and four speakers, like the current generation of the lineup.

Next up is a 10.1-inch version that will have a 12-megapixel camera and improved True Tone flash. Lastly, the third model is expected to measure 12.9 inches. Like the 10.1-inch model, this one is also going to sport the same camera and True Tone feature. All three tablets are believed to have an IP67 certification of water resistance.

Apple recently made waves in the tech community when it introduced the iPhone 7 sans the 3.5-mm headphone jack. This was met with mixed reviews from both critics and fans alike. While some admire the change, others are not too keen. It remains uncertain whether Apple will remove the headphone jack from the upcoming iPad Pro 2, but there have been rumors that the tech company may just do that.

Nothing has been said about the iPad Pro 2's release. However, industry analysts believe that it may arrive sometime in early 2017. And according to reports, a previous leaked image said to be of the upcoming tablet sparked a frenzy online. The iPad Pro 2 is reportedly going to be the lightest and thinnest in the lineup.

However, since nothing has been confirmed, readers should take this with a grain of salt.
