After releasing only a new size variant of the current iPad Pro last year, Apple is said to release the iPad Pro 2 within the second half of 2017, along with two other iPad models.

According to the latest reports, Apple fans may be treated to three new iPad releases this year as, allegedly, the 12.9-inch iPad Pro 2 is set for release. In addition to the iPad Pro 2, it is also said that Apple is also releasing a new size tablet, the 10.5-inch iPad, and another 9.7-inch variant iPad, which is alleged to be the new entry-level iPad.

Sources claim that the 9.7-inch iPad will enter its mass production phase within the first quarter of the year, while the 10.5 and 12.9-inch models will be produced in the second quarter of 2017. However, there are also those who claim that the iPad Pro 2 will arrive between the months of March and April this year, which, clearly is contradictory to claims that the anticipated Apple device has yet to enter its production phase.

PC Advisor points out the iOs usually gets updated on a yearly basis, and the iOS 10.3 is already for its beta testing and will be officially released in March. Hence, it is likely for the iOS 10.3 to be launched in March, along with the latest iPad Pro 2, the online publication opines.

Meanwhile, unconfirmed reports claim that the iPad Pro 2 will likely pack a faster processor, which is suspected to be called the A10X. It is also said that it will come with an improved Apple Pencil as, allegedly, will be supported by the update to the iOS 10.

While the alleged improvements to come with the Apple Pencil are unclear, it is suspected to be in conjunction with the iPad Pro 2's stock apps, such as Mail, Mail, Messages, Safari, and many more.
