iPad Pro rumor roundup: Device to have 12.9-inch screen; will Apple release it in November?

(Apple Inc.)Apple's iPad Air 2: The thinnest tablet in the market today.

If the rumors on the Internet are to be believed, Apple could be releasing a giant new tablet, dubbed the iPad Pro, sometime within the next few months. If the device does make it to the market before the end of this year, then it will finally confirm the leaks which have been making their rounds for several months.

First, there is little doubt that the upcoming iPad Pro is going to be much bigger than any other tablet that Apple has released over the years. However, its bigger size will be an advantage because according to TechCrunch, analysts expect such devices to sell better especially to large enterprises.

But with Microsoft having a strong contender in the form of its laptop/tablet hybrid, the Surface Pro 3, in the market, the iPad Pro will have to match, or rather exceed its capabilities if it wants to succeed. To beat its competitors, rumors say that Apple has outfitted the upcoming tablet with a 12.9-inch screen, which will also have the new Force Touch technology. This new feature will be able to discern whether the user is pressing down hard or using a lighter touch.

It is also widely rumored that Apple has been designing a stylus which will be provided as an optional accessory. This accessory will work very well with the mentioned Force Touch technology, as it will provide users with a superior experience when drawing.

As for the processor in the iPad Pro, rumors currently point toward it coming with the new A9 version, the same chip which is also expected to be used by upcoming iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.

According to Gizmodo, it is likely that Apple will include one or two USB 3.0 ports on the device, as they are much faster than anything currently available. As for RAM, many expect that the device will come with 2 GB. It will also reportedly have Touch ID integrated in its home button.

Finally, release date rumors claim that the device will enter production in September and will be released in November. If these rumors prove to be accurate, then there is a very slim chance that the iPad Pro would be unveiled along with the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus in September.
