Apple's much awaited next generation iPhone, which the tech industry is currently calling iPhone 6, has yet to come out, but rumors say a September release date is likely.

Meanwhile, GooPhone, a Chinese handset maker, is said to be ready to release its iPhone 6 clone ahead of the Cupertino-based tech giant, Apple.

GooPhone has made a name for itself by releasing smartphones that are look-alikes of flagship devices of top phone makers.

Among its devices are GooPhone i5s, GooPhone S5 and GooPhone M8, which are clones of Apple iPhone 5s, Samsung Galaxy S5 and HTC One M8 respectively.

A recent report from Gizchina says the famous clone-manufacturer has announced its newest flagship phone, the GooPhone i6, which will hit the market on August 1.

For now, the Chinese manufacturer confirms their upcoming handset will sport a 4.7-inch screen panel smartphone, and the official site gives some specs like an IPS quad-HD display, MediaTek MT 6582 quad-core chipset, 1GB RAM, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera and 8GB ROM.

It seems the GooPhone i6 specs has plenty in common with the rumors going around for the Apple iPhone 6.

While it's more than 30 days before the expected official iPhone 6 release date, another clone which sports specs and looks similar to Apple's next flagship smartphone is Wico i6.

The Wico i6 is a plastic copycat of iPhone 6 and ready-to-use. Recently, it was for the first time captured in a hands-on video. Posted by Jacky Zou, the two videos for the Wico i6 were first reported by Nowhereelse.

The videos show Wico i6 featuring curved edges, power button on the right panel and modified volumes on the left panel. Some of these features are not on Apple's current flagship phone iPhone 5S, but are rumored to be on the upcoming iPhone 6.
