Despite not being in production yet, the rumors revolving around iPhone 8's development have been in full swing, and the tidbits being shared are nothing short of mind-blowing. It appears Apple is planning to go big with the release of the newest smartphone that will bring it back to the top.

According to Wall Street Journal, Apple is doing its very best to make the iPhone 8 the best smartphone it will create, as it marks the 10th anniversary of the handheld. It is said that they have been working rigorously on it, so much that they are working on 10 prototypes to deliver a revolutionary product once it releases.

One of the biggest rumors circulating about the iPhone 8 is Apple's probable decision to switch from an LCD screen to an OLED display. This would make it thinner, more flexible, allowing the creation of more cutting-edge designs for the unreleased iPhone. Furthermore, this would allow Apple to scrap the home button altogether, creating a virtual home button on the OLED screen.

Along with the presumption of an OLED display and removal of the home button is adapting to an edge-to-edge curved screen. With OLED's flexibility, this is a possibility and could add to both aesthetic and display features of the iPhone 8.

Another speculation is that the new smartphone will be sporting wireless charging, similar to Samsung's phones. If this was true, the other rumor that Apple is switching back to all-glass casing could also hold ground, as it will facilitate wireless charging.

Perhaps the most revolutionary of all the possible features will be the inclusion of iris recognition in order to boost security features, according to reports. This is after rumors of embedding Xintec's technology onto the unreleased iPhone surfaced, as is being pointed out by its planned mass production for iris-recognition chips by 2017.

If all of these were true, it would prove to be next-level, futuristic innovation at its finest. The iPhone 8 is rumored to be released by fall 2017.
