iPhone 8 specs rumors, news: Sales forecasts for rumored smartphone at a high

(Apple)Apple's iPhone 8 is rumored to sport a major overhaul in design and features.

Already one of the most popular brands in the tech market today, Apple is rumored to release three new iPhones this year — one of which, the iPhone 8, will help see a drastic increase in revenue for the company.

Code-named Ferrari, the iPhone 8 is one of the three flagship smartphones that the Cupertino-based tech company is reportedly going to unveil later this year. The other two models follow the time-tested tradition of releasing S models to go along with
current-generation iPhones: the iPhone 7s and 7s Plus. As its code name implies, the iPhone 8 is said to be the best out of the three — or in the entire lineup of iPhones thus far — since it is set to celebrate the smartphone's 10th anniversary.

With that, it only makes sense that the iPhone 8 would be packed with spectacular features and specifications. The rumored behemoth of a smartphone will apparently have fast charging, apart from the wireless charging support, and a functionality that is new to iOS but not for Android.

Fast charging will reportedly allow consumers to use the iPhone 8 for an entire day for just 15–20 minutes of charging time. Apple is also rumored to be partnering up with Energous for wireless charging of up to 15 feet. The Android feature making it to the iPhone 8, Tap to Wake, will also shake things up.

Design-wise, the iPhone 8 is expected to sport an all-glass look, giving the smartphone an overall sleeker and more sophisticated vibe. There is also talk of removing the physical home button and a bigger screen for the display.

With the exceptional features and specifications that are rumored to be on the iPhone 8, it has been predicted by analysts over at Nomura Securities that the smartphone will break sales records for the company. The iPhone 8, if it manages to deliver, will surely ignite a new era of smartphone technology.

However, since nothing has been confirmed by Apple, readers should take this news with a grain of salt for now.
