"iZombie" season 2 ended with intense episodes that left fans wanting more from Liv (Rose McIver) and the gang. It might be a while before they will be back on screen since the brand new season is expected to be released in 2017, but the lead actress already has something to say about season 3.

TVLine spoke to the New Zealand actress a few days ago at The CW's Upfront where she revealed that no one would want to play the part of Liv's love interest. Fans of the series know very well what happens to the guy who falls for the zombie girl – they end up being dead, just like what happened to her past lovers, Lowell (Bradley James) and Drake (Greg Finley).

The production may have kept mum about the details of what's to come but McIver dropped some hints on what fans can expect when "iZombie" returns. For one, she expressed her excitement over the fact that her character's former fiancé, Major (Robert Buckley), will soon be like Liv, eating brains and absorbing personalities and characters of the people who owned them.

Fans are now starting to wonder if Liv and Major will get back together since they are now both zombies and it is assumed that they can now make it work. McIver didn't reveal the fate of Liv and Major's relationship, but she did openly express how she was sad about her partner, Clive Babineaux's (Malcolm Goodwin) broken relationship with long-time love, Dale (Jessica Harmon).

Setting romance apart, McIver also teased about the new character (and possibly the next big bad) Vivian (Andrea Savage), who at the end of the season 2 finale was revealed to be a zombie leader. McIver describes Vivian to be a "dodgy character," but she's still not sure if she's to be really trusted.

Considering Liv doesn't really have female zombie friends, Vivian could be her first, but McIver told IGN in a separate interview that she's going to be more careful now when it comes to trusting people – or zombies.

"iZombie" season 3 is expected to return to The CW in early 2017.
