Michael (Brett Dier) will live and get well soon enough to sweep Jane (Gina Rodriguez) off her feet in a much-anticipated honeymoon in the upcoming season of "Jane the Virgin."

Last installment, the detective was shot by his partner Susanna (Megan Ketch), who has been the fugitive Rose (Bridget Regan) all along. The incident happened just after the emotional wedding ceremony of the couple.

Viewers have been waiting for the moment Jane will finally lose her virginity on her wedding night, but it did not happen as expected since Michael was hurt and his condition was unstable.

Executive producer Jennie Snyder Urman told ET Online that they have never considered a season premiere or finale for Jane's pivotal moment. After preserving her chastity for too long, she said Jane deserves nothing less than a big production. The EP promised though that it would happen soon in season 3.

"Yes, yes, yes -- it's happening! She'll lose her virginity this year for sure. ... I don't have an image and I don't yet know what it will look like. There's a lot of pressure on that moment and I haven't drilled down -- so to speak -- on what will happen. I have a lot of different ideas on what that will be, and how big to make it, and how many complications and so forth, so I'm excited about that, but also nervous because I want to execute it well," she shared.

Meanwhile, Jane's mother will not be as happy coming into the new installment. Xo (Andrea Navedo) is pregnant and Urman confirmed with Entertainment Weekly that Esteban (Keller Wortham) is the father. Xo previously told Rogelio (Jaime Camil) she did not want to have another baby anymore. It was the reason why they broke up. Xo eventually decided to ask Rogelio for another chance, but the shocking news that she was pregnant complicated things. What will happen to Jane's parents now?

"Jane the Virgin" season 3 will premiere on Monday, October 17 at 9 p.m. EST on the CW.
