In the entertainment industry, it's no surprise how too much fame can result in unexpected predicaments.

Just as Jennifer Lawrence thought her career was steadily escalating with the countless blockbusters she is featured in, the actress is now facing a privacy issue after an alleged hacker obtained nude photos of her by getting into the private storage of her electronic device.

The nude photos of Lawrence went viral on Sunday, being posted in popular social media sharing sites such as Tumblr, Reddit and Twitter.

Gossip blogger Perez Hilton got into the hype and posted the photos as well, although censoring the sensitive and private parts of the singer.

Hilton later deleted the photos from his famous blog, however, even offering an apology for his "quick decision" to share the photos.

"Upon further reflection and just sitting with my actions, I don't feel comfortable even keeping the censored photos up. I am removing them," wrote Perez Hilton on his Twitter account.

"At work we often have to make quick decisions. I made a really bad one today," added the blogger.

Lawrence's publicist has also released a statement, saying that the hacking and releasing of photos as "flagrant violation of privacy," as reported by CNN.

"The authorities have been contacted and will prosecute anyone who posts the stolen photos of Jennifer Lawrence," added the publicist in the same report.

Other female celebrities targeted by hackers with the intention of stealing private photos were Victoria Justice and Mary E. Winstead.

"To those of you looking at photos I took with my husband years ago in the privacy of our home, hope you feel great about yourselves," Winstead wrote on Twitter.
