Brooklyn Nets' veteran point guard is positive about how his injured hamstring is recovering and expressed the possibility that he may be back in the game in the next couple of weeks. The 28-year-old athlete injured his hamstring twice this season, the last one taking place on Dec. 26 last year during a game against the Charlotte Hornets. The Nets management, however, has not given any official update about Lin's injury, nor has it announced his possible return.

Lin's first hamstring injury this season made him unable to play in a total of 15 games. Naturally, after his December incident, he was unable to participate in even more games. In total, Lin was only able to play in 12 games this season with an average of 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists. Having him playing in the past game he has missed would have been a great help to the Nets.

"We haven't really seen what it's like with everybody healthy on the team," Lin's teammate Joe Harris, said in a statement. "Where we're at right now, I don't know if our record is different if everybody's healthy, but I will say that the cohesion and the chemistry when everybody's healthy and playing is obviously better."

"He's certainly going to make the whole team in general perform better," Nets General Manager Sean Marks added. "He'll certainly give us a little bit of stability out there."

Just recently, the Nets lost a game versus the Atlanta Hawks with a score of 117–97. The team also played against the New Orleans Pelicans yesterday, Jan 20, and, although Lin did not make an appearance on the basketball court, the Nets won the game with 143–114.

Lin is on a three-year contract with the Brooklyn Nets with a sealed deal of $36 million. Considerably, he is an ace that the team cannot afford not to have on court.
