When "Jurassic World" hit the big screens, moviegoers were all too ready to embrace the film that obtained a lot of inspiration from "Jurassic Park." And almost a year after the film shook the box office, rumor has it that the sequel will feature dinosaurs fighting criminals and destroying drug rings.

While there are not too many details released yet regarding the story that will give color to "Jurassic World 2," many are expecting that the second movie is bigger than the first.

It appears as if the second movie may indeed be larger than its predecessors as the buzz online suggest a sequel tagging dinosaurs as crime-fighting and drug circle-busting heroes. According to Design & Trend, the upcoming film may derive its story from a long-forgotten script for "Jurassic Park 4."

The script was written by John Sayles and the storyline stars a group of dinosaurs boasting of armor and weaponry that were created for the purpose of destroying criminal elements, including drug rings. While there is no confirmation on the said rumor, the idea isn't so bad for a sequel that should pick up on an arguably open-ended first film.

The final scenes of "Jurassic World" seem to suggest that man and dinosaurs have forever said farewell to each other. However, Cinema Blend notes in a report last year that B.D. Wong's Henry Wu played a vital role in opening up new doors for a sequel.

According to Entertainment Weekly, director Colin Trevorrow said last year that the upcoming film won't be focusing on bringing bigger and better dinos to the big screens. Instead, "It's about using this as a starting point for a much larger story about our relationship with these animals, and with animals in general, and the dynamic created by bringing them back to life," he explained.

That being said, it may be safe to assume that "Jurassic World 2" will most likely pick up on the storyline that Dr. Wu left hanging. Once he left with dinosaur embryos, moviegoers seemed to have forgotten that he got a hold of the hope that dinosaurs will once again roam the Earth.

"Jurassic World 2" is slated for release on June 22, 2018.
