The Duchess of Cambridge has always been a fashion icon, especially since she stepped into the royal clan, and many of her followers are quick to note which designer made her dresses. However, a certain frock the royal wore on Friday puzzled a lot of fans and experts online.

The Huffington Post notes that her followers always offer their thoughts and ideas whenever the Duchess steps out, but Friday's dress (or combo) was something no one could seem to figure out.

The dress in question was a collared beige lace garb that appeared to be either a dress or a jacket and skirt combination. To complete her getup, Catherine matched her suit with a black purse, black fascinator hat, and black pointed shoes.

Since Kensington Palace has not aired which designer created the Duchess of Cambridge's  suit, fans went on to guess which amazing stylist came up with the mysterious clothing.

Some commented that it could be Alexander McQueen, some agreed that it might be Orla Kiely. Others suggested that it could be Alice Temperley of Temperley London, and Erdem Moralioglu was also mentioned. The palace has not confirmed any of the suggestions, making the puzzle even more harder to put together.

Cosmopolitan reports that the lace is from Sophie Hallette, who is known for producing the lace used in Catherine's wedding gown and shoes. However, there is nothing more known about the designer.

The mysterious frock was worn when the Duchess, along with her husband, Prince William, and brother-in-law, Prince Harry, dropped by the World War I monument in Thiepval, France. The visit was done in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Somme.

Meanwhile, the Duchess is once again being placed in hot water after reports emerged alleging that her mother, Carole Middleton, is engaged in a feud within the royal family. According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, the recent issue started when the Princess' parents made their way to the Royal Box during last week's Wimbledon games.

Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, purportedly did not like the idea of having the Middletons in the Royal Box after she waited for many years to be in the VIP area for the tennis games.

It is unclear if the reports are true but this is not the first time the Duchess of Cambridge's name has been dragged over her mother's alleged intervention with the royal clan.
