Fans of "Kingdom Hearts 3" may be disheartened to know that the game might be pushed back for a 2017 release instead of the anticipated 2016 date. This rumor states that Square Enix might be opting to focus its attention on their other game, "Final Fantasy XV," which is also intended to launch this year.

According to reports, with the studio putting more attention on "Final Fantasy XV," it's highly likely that "Kingdom Hearts 3" may be put on the back burner for a while. After all, Square Enix has to finish up things on "Final Fantasy XV," including marketing its release. Two games released within a small period of time may lead to confusion on the gamers' part, especially since "Final Fantasy XV" and "Kingdom Hearts 3" definitely won't come cheap.

As for what "Kingdom Hearts 3" has to offer, voice actor Jim Cummings has teased the inclusion of Winnie the Pooh and Tigger. Axel, voiced by Quinton Flynn, is also reportedly going to be included. Flynn alluded to the revelation via his Twitter account, along with an update on the production's current status.

"Speaking of Axel, when is the new Kingdom Hearts going into production? Step it up. Quinton needs to pay his bills!" the tweet read.

However, other reports have claimed that production for "Kingdom Hearts 3" has already begun, although Square Enix has yet to confirm anything.

Fans are holding out in hopes of more information being given out about the third installment in the "Kingdom Hearts" series. The E3 is scheduled to take place this June, which means fans may just get what they asked for. Last year, Square Enix announced details about the said title at the E3 and it is likely that the studio could follow the same suit at this year's event.

Of course, since nothing has been confirmed, fans should take this news with a grain of salt.
