'Kingdom Hearts 3' release date, rumors: Game to arrive late 2016, to feature Sailor Moon as a guest character

(Facebook/Kingdom Hearts)Will "Kingdom Hearts 3" be released in late 2017?

In the absence of any official word from its developer after its trailer was released in last June's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), fans of "Kingdom Hearts" are now divided in terms of their speculations on when "Kingdom Hearts 3" will be released.

It has been learned that most fans bet that the highly anticipated game will see its release in the latter part of 2017 or early 2018 as Amazon is said to be already accepting pre-orders for "Kingdom Hearts 3." However, there are also those who believe that it may just be a placeholder date for the said online store.

On the other hand, there are also those who believe that "Kingdom Hearts 3" may arrive not earlier than 2020 as there is no official statement about the game has ever been released since its announcement at the E3.

Apart from the varying opinions of the fans as to when the game will be released, there are also several rumors that have surfaced as to what "Kingdom Hearts 3" may offer. According to reports, there is a possibility for the game to usher in Sailor Moon into it, although there are no talks as of yet about the crossover.

Other sources reveal, though, that with the many franchise acquisitions happening in Square Enix, there is a possibility for the said character to cross over to future "Kingdom Hearts" games, if not in "Kingdom Hearts 3." After all, "Kingdom Hearts" has the ability to usher in guests from other games in an organic way.

Meanwhile, it is believed that more information about "Kingdom Hearts 3" will be released once "Kingdom Hearts 2.8" is launched in December this year. Reportedly, this upcoming game will provide players a better understanding of future "Kingdom Hearts" games.

Will "Kingdom Hearts 3" really be released between late 2017 and early 2018? Fans can only hope and pray.
