The upcoming episode 14 of the season 18 of NBC's long-running police procedural, crime drama TV series "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" focuses on the fate of a rape victim who was offered a large amount of money to be silent about the incident.

A top-level investment banker (guest star Missy Peregrym) accuses her billionaire client (guest star Tate Donovan) of rape.

The official trailer reveals that the rape victim is being offered a staggering $5 million. This is an attempt to dissuade her from testifying in court against the perpetrator. It will be interesting to see whether she accepts the money or not.

The upcoming episode will take on Wall Street. This will show the harsh realities that exist therein.

The rape victim must choose between keeping her career in place and aiming for the justice that she deserves. In the trailer, Detective Fin Tutuola (Ice-T) is heard saying, "We have another victim and I think she deserves justice." This implies that they will fight for the victim amid the monetary offer.

It can be remembered that the previous episode, titled "Genes," followed the story of a rapist, Nick, who admitted to the fact of rape but blamed his "genes" for such crime. Meanwhile, Will, the star witness in the case, was going to commit suicide over the fact that he's the son of a rapist. Fortunately, Benson, whose father was also a rapist, arrived and told him that there's no such thing as a "rape gene." She emphasized that having a rapist dad does not make one bad and evil.

NBC's "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" follows the life and crimes of the Special Victims Unit of the New York City Police Department, an elite squad of detectives who investigate sexually based crimes.

"Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" season 18 episode 14 titled "Net Worth" will air on Wednesday, March 29, at 9 p.m. EST on NBC.
