'Law & Order: SVU' season 18 episode 6 spoilers: Squad probes transgender attack

(Facebook/lawandordersvu)Benson and the squad will take on another sensitive case in the next episode of "Law & Order: SVU."

Benson (Mariska Hargitay) will investigate a case involving an attack on a transgender student in the upcoming episode of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit."

In the episode titled "Bad Rap," the synopsis (as per CarterMatt) reveals that a transgender student was assaulted and the trail will lead the SVU team to the doorstep of a record label CEO and his apprentice. Rapper/musician Wyclef Jean will guest star as the music mogul who will be questioned by Benson and her squad. As per the promo, the episode promises to tackle one of the most sensitive issues in our time. In the clip, Benson is showing her irritation that others still find being a transgender a big issue when it is already 2016.

Last episode, the storyline bore similarities to the Brock Turner case. The SVU was tapped to probe the supposed rape of a woman. She claimed that the incident happened when she passed out after drinking too much alcohol. The culprit was an Ivy League graduate and the son of Benson's old friend, Sergeant Griffin (Anthony Edwards). Griffin wanted her to drop the case and remember that he once helped her with her career. The suspect was said to have had nonconsensual sex with the victim when she was unconscious. In the end, the Griffin boy admitted to raping the girl.

Meanwhile, fans of the show are still waiting for the Donald Trump-inspired episode to air soon. It was supposed to be released last Oct. 26, but NBC announced that it would air at a later date. Titled "Unstoppable," the storyline will revolve around a popular politician (to be played by Gary Cole) who is being hounded by rumors of sexual assault against women. Another episode to look forward to is titled "Great Expectations" but no teaser has been released about it yet, aside from the Charles Dickens connection.

"Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" season 18 episode 6 will air Wednesday, Nov. 9 at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.
