LeTV's bezeless smartphones becomes the world's first to be launched with USB Type-C

Chinese entertainment and Internet company Letv has introduced the LeTV One, LeTV One Pro, and LeTV Max, the world's first smartphones to arrive with a USB Type-C port. The company has announced that it will also launch the full bill of materials (BOM) for the smartphones to allow customers to actually see how much they actually cost to manufacture,  which it believes, will help them make better informed decisions.

The LeTV One, LeTV One Pro and LeTV Max all come with different features, specifications and prices. The LeTV One sports a 5.5-inch display with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution and is powered by a MediaTek MT6795 octa-core chipset along with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. LeTV also has a 13MP/5MP rear/front camera and is powered by a 3,000 mAh battery. The LeTV One smartphone is available for $240.

The LeTV One Pro features a 5.5-inch QHD display and is also powered by the same Snapdragon 810 chip along with 4GB of RAM, but features 32/64GB of internal storage. The LeTV One Pro has a 13MP camera with OIS and dual-tone flash on the back, and a similar 4MP UltraPixel unit in the front. The LeTV One Pro will go on sale for about $400 for the 32GB model and $435 for the 64GB variant.

The LeTV One Max is a phablet measuring 6.3 inches in diagonal with QHD resolution and a Snapdragon 810 processor under the hood, along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The high-end phone sports a 21MP main camera with OIS and dual-tone flash, as well as an Ultrapixel (4MP) selfie snapper, a fingerprint scanner and WHD connect. The company has not provided any pricing details about the LeTV One Max, but given its size and high-end features, it is likely to be the most expensive among the lot.
