LG Electronics or just LG, just recently announced the next tablet in their G Pad series, the LG G Pad 2 10.1, despite its official unveiling in just a few weeks.

LG, a manufacturer that tends to quietly announce their upcoming flagships weeks before the official unveiling is at it again. According to GSM Arena, the LG G Pad 2 10.1 was supposed to be announced during the IFA in Berlin, which will be happening next month, but the company has obviously decided to make an early announcement prior to the event. But of course, people who will attend the event will actually get to see the device up close rather than just in a photo.

In terms of the specifications, the LG G Pad 2 10.1 is going to come with a 10.1-inch screen size with a display resolution of WUXGA 1920 x 1200, as revealed by the official post from the company. As for its power and processor, the tablet is expected to run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU with a benchmarked clock speed of 2.26 GHz. The processor of the tablet is going to be backed up by 2 GB of RAM, which is actually double the capacity of the previous model, said GSM Arena.

In addition, as revealed by LG, the internal capacity of this iteration will be the same as the previous flagship, which is 16 GB. However, for users who need more storage space, fortunately, the LG G Pad 2 10.1's memory is expandable via MicroSD.

One thing that might surprise LG users, however, is the new tablet's battery life. The last model, the LG G Pad, has an amazing 8,000 mAh battery cell. The second one, on the other hand, will only come with 7400 mAh.

Other revealed specifications include a 5 MP rear and a 2 MP front camera. Its operating system will also be the Android Lollipop 5.1.1.
