(LG)LG G4

The great features of the LG G4 make the device a must-have for many smartphone users — and they extend far beyond its build and leather panels. Here are some of the top tips and tricks to get the most out of the flagship phablet from LG.

Simple tap to unlock

Unlocking the LG G4 is as simple as tapping on the screen. Users can set it up by navigating to Settings > Lock screen and then selecting "Select screen lock" and finally, "Lock Code." The code can be simply input as a series of taps on a square and after the user has confirmed the code and set a backup PIN, the sequence will be ready for use.

Use two apps simultaneously

There is a feature which allows users to run two different applications simultaneously on the LG G4, and this can be easily set up by navigating to the bottom of the screen and selecting the recent apps button. Just select the dual window option and windows can be dragged and dropped either to the top or bottom of the screen.

Quick Jump to apps

LG G4 allows users to add up to five shortcuts of apps on its lock screen. Once they are added, the shortcuts will show up when the Swipe and None options are used for locking down the screen and users can click on them to open the particular app. Setting this feature up is simple as navigating to Settings > Lock screen and accessing the Shortcuts options, where users will select the apps they want easy access to.

Quick launch using volume buttons

The volume buttons, which are positioned at the back of the LG G4, allows users to quickly launch the camera and take notes. To set this up, users will simply have to navigate to Settings > Shortcut key and select the "On" option for Toggle. This feature will allow the user to double tap on the up button to launch an app for notes while the down button can be used to launch the camera and take a photo within seven seconds.
