After the release of the highly anticipated LG V20, a new device by LG is expected to be unveiled soon.

Though it has only been a while since the release of LG's V20, it seems as though the company has a lot of plans. It was revealed that LG is expected to release the new LG G6, despite its predecessor's - the LG G5 - lack of success. With that, reports teased that a new design will be presented in order to improve the device.

According to rumors, the LG G6 will no longer boast the modular design presented in the prior models. The new model is said to have the standard smartphone design, which is a big change for the flagship.

The switch is likely due to the customer feedback stating that the modular components, such as the Hi-Fi Plus, Hi-Fi DAC as well as the LG Cam Plus, created some issues with the phone. Aside from that, the company was also having a hard time managing the different accessories available for it.

It was revealed that this change was also made in order to make the device more competitive against the big brands such as Apple's iPhone and Samsung's Galaxy line.

With that, the upcoming smartphone will boast stellar resolution, reaching up to 4K. The LG G6 will also reportedly have Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and a 4096 x 2160 display resolution. The device will also include a Dual LED 3D rear-facing camera, utilizing 24 megapixels, while the front camera has seven megapixels. This will pose as a big improvement, compared to the previous models of the LG G flagship.

It will be powered by the Octa-Core 3.0 GHz Snapdragon processor, bringing 5GB of RAM. With that, LG fans can expect big improvements to the performance of the device.

Unfortunately, there has yet to be any official release date for the LG G6. Fans will have to wait for more news regarding the upcoming smartphone.
