According to rumors, Google has two new Nexus devices in the works. One of those devices is rumored to be the LG Nexus 5, which could arrive as early as this month. As for the mysterious Nexus 8 tablet, which was spotted on the Internet last week, an image of its dummy model has been recently making its rounds.

All eyes are now focused on the reveal of the Nexus 5, the smartphone manufactured by LG for Google and its bigger sibling, the Huawei-manufactured Nexus 6. Many are expecting these two devices to be revealed when Google finally launches the updated version of Android Marshmallow.

Additionally, Android Authority recently reported that an unnamed source tipped a Korean website that the LG Nexus 5 would be launched specifically on Sept. 29.

However, ever since the rumor originated via the Korean website, there have been no further indications that Google does have an unveiling planned, but with the Nexus 5 and the Nexus 6 frequently appearing in leaked images, it could mean that they are close to their actual reveal date.

Aside from that, it is worth taking note that Android M has been officially renamed, "Marshmallow" and the final version has already been released to developers. This means that Google is on track to reveal the updated OS, hopefully along with the new devices at the end of this month or at the beginning of October.

As for the dummy image of the Nexus 8, it points toward Google planning a tablet to become the Nexus 7's successor. The particular tablet was billed by many as a rival to the iPad Mini but unfortunately, did not do very well. The leaked image of the Nexus 8 follows a previous report that the tablet has been spotted going through a benchmark site, specifically Geekbench 3. PhoneArena, reporting on the leak, claimed that the Geekbench results indicated that the tablet is using the MediaTek SoC along with an octa-core CPU. Rumors also claim that the upcoming tablet will come with a full metal body.
