It wasn't that long ago when the former A&E show, "Longmire," found itself on the cancellation chopping block, ultimately losing their fourth season on the cable network even if the show was raking in an average of 5 million viewers.

Since the show's advertisers were looking for younger audiences, A&E had to let the show go. But after a lot of shopping around, with the help of their viewers, "Longmire" has finally settled in their second home, Netflix. The show even granted the Huffington Post stills of their upcoming episodes, proving that it is business as usual on set.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the show is going to begin where season three ended — with Walt Longmire finding out who is behind his wife's murder. Longmire then fails to resist his dark urges and makes his way to his wife's killer with one sole purpose, murder.

Meanwhile, Branch Connally, Walt's former deputy, believes that he knows who the killer is. However, a gunshot was heard during the confrontation with the suspected killer and Connally's life remain in limbo.

Executive Producer, Hunt Baldwin, also stated that Netflix has given them full creative freedom with the show. During the 2015 Television Critics Association press tour, Baldwin told EW, "The stories feel more complete and more complex because we're allowed to keep everything we envisioned in the beginning in the episodes."

Another Executive Producer, Greer Shephard, was quick to slam their former network in the Press tour and said, "A&E didn't have an ownership stake in the show. We're now at a company that values viewers."

The fourth season of "Longmire" will premiere on Sept. 10 on Netflix. It will be the first time that the show will be releasing all 10 episodes at once. The show will be available in the U.S., Canada, Australia and New Zealand. It stars Robert Taylor, Katee Sackhoff and Lou Diamond Phillips.
