With the vague manner in which the third season of "Longmire" ended last year, fans are clamoring to get a hint of what is to come in season four of the show. The gunshot that was heard across Absaroka County in the finale has left viewers baffled and excited about the upcoming season.

"Longmire", which aired its first series and was cancelled by A&E last August, was picked up by Netflix late last year. Given the format of Netflix in show distribution, there aren't a lot of spoilers floating around about the show's season 4. For the most part, showrunners, cast and crew alike have remained mum on the details of upcoming season and even the release date is highly speculative.

However, according to a tweet sent out to a fan by Kate Sackhoff, the actress who plays Victoria "Vic" Moretti on the show, "Longmire" will most likely be streamed on Netflix sometime around the third quarter of this year.

"If I knew I would. Season 3 soon! Season 4...probably August-September. No guarantees though. @netflix #Longmire" tweeted Sackhoff.

There is little information available on the story, though the same cannot be said about the cast members who have confirmed their appearance on the show. Among the actors who have joined "Longmire" are Terry Camilleri. Details about the seasoned actor's part in "Longmire", like the rest of the information, have not been disclosed.

 J. Michael Trautmann will also be returning to Longmire and confirmed his casting by posting a photo on his instagram account two weeks ago with the caption "Early call today; I'm so tired... Longmire."

"Longmire" started filming last March in New Mexico. The new season is speculated to be available for streaming in the fall of 2015 and all the10 episodes in the season will be released by Netflix at the same time.
