Heading to the Angel Stadium in Anaheim, the Los Angeles Angels will play the San Diego Padres in the MLB.

The match is on May 25, 2015 at 9:05 PM ET.

Playing their first of the three games in the series, the Padres are looking to build off their big win over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Despite losing the series, the Padres closed out their own series against the Dodgers with a big 11-3 win.

That victory helped San Diego improve their record to 21-24 and they are now just six games behind the NL-West leading Dodgers.

Justin Upton is playing a good season so far, leading the team in Home Runs with 11 and Runs Batted In with 29, while being third in the team with a .278 Batting Average.

As far as pitching goes, James Shields leads the team with five wins so far this season while also leading the team with 75 strikeouts until now.

Andrew Cashner has the best Earned Run Average with 2.89 ERA.

Meanwhile, the Angels are still second in the AL-West with a 22-22 record. They recently lost their three-game series against the Boston Red Sox despite starting off their clash with an impressive 12-5 win in the first game.

They suffered crushing 8-3 and 6-1 losses and are trying to turn things around as they face San Diego.

Mike Trout is at his usual best with a .302 Batting Average, while also having 11 Home Runs – he leads the team in both.

Hector Santiago is the top pitcher for Angels in terms of form as he leads with a 2.25 Earned Run Average, while also leading with 44 strikeouts.

Look for both teams to try and win this series, as this will be their only three-game stretch of the season against one another.
