Los Angeles Clippers trade rumors 2016: Sacramento Kings' Rudy Gay going to Lob City?

(Reuters/Ed Szczepanski-USA TODAY Sports)Sacramento Kings forward Rudy Gay is reportedly available on the trade market.

It seems veteran forward Rudy Gay is already trying to address his issues with the Sacramento Kings, but his name continues to be in the trade rumor mill. This time, he is linked to the Los Angeles Clippers.

For a few weeks now, Gay is reportedly available on the market. Some reports say the 29-year-old is demanding to be traded because he is disappointed with the Kings.

However, in a basketball camp Gay hosted last week, he spoke with Sean Cunningham of ABC10 and revealed that he already had a conversation with Kings vice president of basketball operations and general manager Vlade Divac.

"I have talked to Vlade," Gay said according to the report. "I can't say since Monday stuff has changed, but I just feel like we have a little bit of time to start changing things."

Along with this, Gay revealed that there were things he was "unhappy about" but now he is working with Divac to fix the problem.

Despite this progress, Gay's name is still a regular in trade talks and in a report by Yibada.com, a potential destination for him is Los Angeles, with the Clippers.

It was stated in the report that recently, Gay mentioned the Clippers' Jamal Crawford and Paul Pierce when he was talking about "stability" and this could mean his possible addition to the franchise.

Unfortunately, it was also reported that for now, the Clippers have nothing much to offer when it comes to a trade.

Clippers head coach Doc Rivers already expressed earlier in the off-season his desire to keep last season's core intact. So far, Los Angeles have accomplished that, and the team is unlikely parting ways with any of its key players.

But Gay would be a great addition to the Clippers if they decide to complete a switch with the Kings, although the issue, as mentioned, is they cannot offer just anyone because of the goal to have the same core for the 2016-17 season.
