In a battle between two struggling franchises, the Los Angeles Lakers host the Brooklyn Nets at the Staples Center in the regular season of the National Basketball Association.

The matchup is on March 1 at 10:30 p.m. ET.

Both franchises are having seasons to forget as they are unable to get wins this season.

Combining for less than 30 wins so far this year, the Nets and Lakers are clearly going through a tough phase and need rebuilding as soon as possible. Add the fact that both teams are considered big market squads, they deserve better and the fans clearly need better in order to keep them watching the games live.

For the Lakers, at least the fans are getting treated to the swan song of legend Kobe Bryant who is playing his final season. Despite missing out on games and losing at a high rate, the Lakers always get a moral victory as Bryant still shows his talents from time to time.

For the Nets, things are far worse as problems are not only on the court but also with the management. They have changed leaders in the back office as well as on the floor, but none seem to get any result to help them get wins.

At the moment the Nets only have Brook Lopez as their big named player as they recently let go of Joe Johnson. Lopez is a capable star but is far from a complete player, and the Nets need someone who is willing to carry the big load required by the franchise.

This is the final battle between the two squads and the Lakers are looking to sweep their rivals as they won the first matchup with a 104-98.
