'Lucifer' season 2 episode 2 spoilers: Charlotte insists she is innocent

(Facebook/Lucifer)"Lucifer" finally finds his mom Charlotte in season 2 episode 2, which will air on Oct. 3.

Lucifer (Tom Ellis) finds his mother, Charlotte (Tricia Helfer), at a murder scene, but she insists she is innocent when "Lucifer" season 2 episode 2 airs. The title of the episode is "Liar, Liar, Slutty Dress on Fire."

The episode, which was supposed to air on Sept. 27, gave way to the presidential debate and fans of the show are getting more excited to witness the first meeting of Lucifer and his mom. According to the episode synopsis, Charlotte will turn up at the scene of a grizzly murder, but she will insist her innocence.

The trailer shows Lucifer and his mom at the bar he owns and he tells her, "I simply don't believe your wounded bird story. You're the goddess of all creation." Charlotte then tells him, "I promise you, I'm not here to hurt anyone," while a scene shows her throw a man to the wall but with regretful look.

They are also shown engaging in a conversation where they talk about why she was sent to hell. Then a shocked son sees his mom dance on the bar. Mazikeen (Lesley-Ann Brandt) is also shown guarding Charlotte, but she manages to escape from her as she is seen dancing on the bar.

The arrival of Charlotte served as the cliffhanger in the first season's finale. Lucifer seems to be afraid of her and, in the current season's premiere, the hunt for her continues. Amenadiel (D.B. Woodside) and Lucifer knew how cunning she could be and they turn up in crime scenes to determine whose body Charlotte possesses.

The last scene in the trailer shows Lucifer praying and, when asked what he is doing, he says he is calling to Amenadiel to send Charlotte back to hell. The dynamics between mother and son is one of the things viewers look forward to witnessing.

Many are also looking forward to the mystery behind Chloe's (Lauren German) identity as the angels and demons seem powerless whenever they are near her or her belongings. It could be recalled that a bullet went through Lucifer when she was nearby and Amenadiel lost his ability to freeze time when he was inspecting her office desk.

"Lucifer" season 2 episode 2 airs on Oct. 3, Monday, at 9 p.m. on FOX.
