It's a match between two MacBook models, and to make you see a little clearer (no pun intended), we're betting the new MacBook Air 2014 against MacBook Pro with Retina Display. The first model has an 11-inch and 13-inch versions, and the second model has a 13-inch and 15-inch versions. We took the two 13-inches and compared them.

With all cards on the table, MacBook Air's strongest feature is its barely-there weight, which is 1.35kg. The Pro weighs 1.57kg, but that's because of all the good stuff packed in it. MacBook Pro boasts an astonishing 2560x1660, hence its name Retina display, and that's just for the 13-inch. You won't see any pixels on the Pro. It works together with the Intel Iris Graphics, which will get you "immersed in high-speed, stunning 3D gaming, and enjoy videos with exceptional clarity."

All of these overwhelm the MacBook Air, which only has a display of 1440x900, although equipped with Intel HD Graphics 5000, you will still see some pixels here and there. However, they both have HD Facetime Camera.

In terms of power, Pro wins too. It's armed with dual-core Intel Core i5 clocked at 2.6GHz which goes up to 3.1GHz on Turbo. You can upgrade it to Intel Core i7, but of course, you have to pay more.

Meanwhile, Air is equipped with a dual-core Intel Core i5, clocked at a lesser 1.4GHz (up to 1.7GHz), although it's upgradeable to an i7 processor. It also gives you 4GB to 8GB of RAM, but Pro gives you a minimum of 8GB to 16GB. Both operate on Apple's X Yosemite OS.

MacBook Air is anorexic, which is good for MacBooks. It's just 0.11-inch thin (0.68inches at the thickest part), while Pro is 0.71-inch thin. This is were Air takes the cake.

The MacBook Pro with Retina Display is relatively more expensive, starting at $1299 for the 13-inch, and $1999 for the 15 inch. On the other hand, MacBook Air is priced at $899 (11-inch), and $999 (13-inch).
