A new rumor hints at the MacBook Pro 2016 possibly sporting two highly-interesting additional features.

In a note from KGI Securities' Ming-Chi Kuo that was obtained by Apple Insider, the analyst suggests that the rumored laptop will feature some new kinds of technology upon being released.

First off, the new laptop will reportedly feature its very own Touch ID sensor that may allow it to provide users with added security. The new sensor may also be situated in the laptop's chassis.

Kuo also puts forth another possible feature for the MacBook Pro 2016, revealing that it may introduce yet an additional feature in the form of an OLED display touch bar.

The touch bar is also said to be more than just an aesthetic addition as it will be replacing the function keys. The OLED display touch bar will reportedly be situated just above the laptop's keyboard.

Aside from including the aforementioned technological features, the MacBook Pro 2016 is also expected to be both thinner and lighter than its predecessors, potentially making it an even more desirable option to consider for constantly on-the-go Apple customers.

Unfortunately, it may be a while before people can get their hands on the new laptop as well as its additional features.

According to Kuo, the new MacBook Pro may not be released until the fourth quarter of this year, and it's still unclear exactly when it may be officially announced.

Earlier rumors have suggested that the laptop could make an appearance at next month's WWDC event, though Apple has yet to confirm that this will indeed be taking place.

Hopefully, people won't have to wait until the last few months of the year just to get a glimpse of the new laptop.

More news about the MacBook Pro 2016, as well as its features and possible release date, should be made available in the near future.
