Rumor has it that the upcoming MacBook Pro 2016 will have the "Skylake" architecture. This comes as no surprise because competitors are shifting their products to adapt towards this technology. Microsoft, Hewlett-Packard and Dell have all adapted the "Skylake" 6th Generation Intel Core Processor, along with other companies. This leaves Apple as one of the last ones to adapt. In an industry that is fast paced, the rule of survival is adapting to new technology. The "Skylake" architecture increases the battery life and graphics and this is a must have in all laptops since consumers are becoming more reliant on these products.

Furthermore, the high-end laptop will reportedly have a solar powered feature because of the recent move of Apple acquiring a patent with solar-related equipment. The rumoured release date is in March or June. Other rumors are constant in pertaining to the "Retina" screens of both the 13-inch and the 15-inch becoming upgraded to support 4K resoulution. Rumors also mention the ultra thin look of the MacBook Pro along with a touch screen feature and USB-C ports.

Another rumor (via macrumors) mentions the possibility of a build to order option for the MacBook Pro wherein the entry level 15-inch Retina model can be upgraded to a 2.8 GHz quad-core i7 processor with 1 TB of flash storage and the more expensive model has the same upgrade options with an added Radeon R9 M370X GPU. This means heavy graphics users may opt to choose the higher-end model over the casual users who can experience the power of the MacBook Pro just by the entry level model. Both are viable options to choose from to cater to the needs of the users.

These rumors just mean that Apple fans are expecting big things from the tech giant. Competition is certainly beginning to become fierce with more companies being able to develop Apple-like technology with the help of Android.
