The upcoming episode 19 of "Major Crimes" season 5 may see Louie Provenza (G.W. Bailey) actually retiring from his post in the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).

This is an interesting development in the story as Provenza is said to be so attached to being an officer of the law.

CarterMatt notes that this development could actually be a sad spin for the story. Provenza is one of the most likeable characters in the series; hence, the thought of him walking away is unfortunate.

Many fans are actually hoping that should there be a season 6 to this hit TV series, Provenza should stick around for that long at least.

One of the reasons that the fans like Provenza's character is that he does not want much drama in the job. He is also known for being fierce and he never backs down.

The synopsis of the upcoming episode of "Major Crimes" reads, "As the war between bikes and cars escalates in the streets of L.A., Acting Assistant Chief Fritz Howard (Jon Tenney) deploys Major Crimes to solve a tragic hit-and-run. Provenza, frustrated by the never-ending contest to succeed Russell Taylor (Robert Gossett), contemplates retirement."

As seen in the official trailer of episode 19, the Major Crimes division of the LAPD keeps busy at investigating the war between bikes and cars.

Andy Flynn (Anthony Denison) is also seen saying, "This was a hit, not a hit-and-run."

In the previous episode, it can be recalled that Sharon Raydor's (Mary McDonnell) son, Ricky (Ryan Kennedy), visited her and started processing her annulment. However, it seemed that Raydor was not at all ready to move on from her past and exchange vows with Flynn.

"Major Crimes" season 5 episode 19 titled "Intersection" will air on Wednesday, March 29, at 9 p.m. EDT on TNT.
