Marvel's 'Daredevil' spoilers: will Matt Murdock be able to save Hell's Kitchen from kingpin's destruction

(Netflix/Marvel)

Marvel forayed into Television for the first time with "Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D" and "Agent Carter". Now, comic-book fans can rejoice and smile with glee as another superhero takes the small screen by storm. Matt Murdock is here to guard Hell's Kitchen and feed into the superhero frenzy.

"Daredevil" essays the story of Matt Murdock who, on the surface, is a bling lawyer but beneath the façade, he fights crime at night. His blindness is caused as a result of an accident in which toxic waste was spilled on his eyes. While the world thinks he is blind, the lawyer can actually see with the help of radioactive signs. His heightened senses and fighting skills enable Matt to protect Hell's Kitchen.

The villain for the first season of "Daredevil" is the Kingpin. Netflix released the first full-length trailer of the show which promises to be action-packed. Instead of focusing solely on the protagonist, the new trailer provides ample shots of actor Vincent D'Onofrio, who plays the role of Kingpin. Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin is the leader of organized crime in the city and is constantly at odds with Murdock.

MStars News reports that D'Onofrio shaved his head and added 30 pounds to his build in order to play the role of the ruthless crime leader. The trailer also shows Daredevil and Kingpin conversing.

Apart from Charlie Cox, who essays the lead role, and D'Onofrio, "Daredevil" also includes "True Blood" actress Deborah Ann Woll who portrays Karen Page, Murdock's secretary and love interest.

Netflix follows a different model of broadcasting shows in that it releases all the season's episode on the release date. On April 10 at 12 am, expect all of the show's 13 episodes to be available for viewing. Ardent fans of superheroes, comic books and Marvel should not miss this superhero's story who will eventually appear in Marvel's miniseries "Defenders". "Iron Fish" and "Luke Cage" are other superhero-based TV shows coming soon.
