The highly-anticipated rematch between Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs Argentina's Marcos Maidana resulted in Mayweather continuing his unbeaten streak.

The match was held at Las Vegas' MGM Grand on Sept. 13, making Mayweather hold on to a current standing of 47 wins, 0 losses and 36 KOs, while Maidana rests easy with 35 wins, 5 losses and 31 KOs.

Compared to their first fight, Maidana showed longer patience during the rematch but still fell under Mayweather's undefeated luck.

Mayweather moved around the ring rigorously, making it tough for Maidana to land punches. Maidana's score for the match is described as "more reserved" by post-game reviews.

"Maidana landed 221 of 858 punches in 1st meeting vs Mayweather. Maidana landed 128 of 572 in rematch Saturday (via @CompuBox)," posted ESPN's Stats and Info account on Twitter.

Another boxer, Tony Bellew, expressed his high regard for Mayweather's boxing skills through his Twitter account, urging boxing fans to "appreciate" the undefeated champion while he is still active.

"Finally watched the full Mayweather fight.. He is a true genius in a boxing ring, appreciate him while he's still here is all I can say #TMT," Bellew wrote.

After beating Maidana, Mayweather allegedly said 'Let's make Manny Pacquiao fight happen,' as reported by The Telegraph.

Mayweather's next fight, however, could be against Britain's Amir Khan.

In another report, it has been revealed that Mayweather Jr. made a whopping $888,889 per minute during his victorious rematch against Maidana.
