Monolith Productions and Warner Bros. action RPG Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor is on a roll: Deubting strong in UK Charts, and collecting good review comments three weeks after its release date on PS4, Xbox One and PC. Most recently, the developer announced a free DLC download for the game.

"Today, we're proud to announce the brand new FREE Power of Shadow DLC pack, including the playable Black Hand of Sauron skin, and three Epic Runes," Monolith blog said.

Three Epic Runes include 'One with Nature', 'Ascendant' and 'Elven Grace'.

Aside from this, players can expect an action-packed weekend with Test of Wisdom Challenge Mode, where combatting Sauron's legion can make on earn points to build their legends.

"From 9 a.m. Pacific on Friday, October 24th to 9 p.m. Pacific on Sunday, October 26th, we're hosting the Test of Wisdom Challenge Weekend! Join us, do battle in the Test of Wisdom, and battle with all your might to unseat the champions currently holding the top spots on the leaderboards," Monolith teased.

Exciting times are ahead for this 'Lord of the Rings'-inspired video game, especially with the rave reviews it has received.

Paul Tassi of Forbes in his review attributes Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor success to the gameplay's fidelity to a single mechanic, highlighting it all throughout the game.

"Mordor's Nemesis system is the perfect balance where your own death actually makes the game more interesting and fun to play. So much so that it makes up for other aspects of the game, simply because how fun it is to try and take revenge on monsters that you yourself created," Tassi writes.

"Mechanically and visually, Mordor might be an average game, but conceptually? It's absolutely phenomenal, and a must play," he adds.

Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor has set the bar high for most action role-playing games to follow.

"All of these tasks are dotted across the game's two expansive maps, which invite you to chase one waypoint after another, murdering captains, infiltrating Uruk feasts, and collecting artifacts that unveil truths about the wraith's past misdeeds. This structure (of course) recalls Assassin's Creed, but it is now imperative that the Assassin's Creed series learn from Shadow of Mordor," Gamespot's Kevin VanOrd says in his review.

Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor is scheduled for a release date on Xbox 360 and PS3 on Nov. 18.
