Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth news: Couple attends Variety's Power of Women luncheon
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are one of the hottest couples in Hollywood. But since getting back together earlier this year, they haven't been seen attending events as a couple — until now.
Hemsworth accompanied the 23-year-old songstress at Variety's Power of Women luncheon in Los Angeles. Cyrus was one of the women being honored for her works in philanthropy and contributions to charity with her Happy Hippie Foundation, which caters to the LGBTQ community and the homeless youth.
According to People, Cyrus was introduced onstage by actress Jamie Brewer, who said: "From challenging stigma around gender and sexuality to fighting for increased access to reproductive health and services to advocating for wildlife policy and reform, Miley uses her ... privilege [for those] who don't have any power at all."
"To anyone who's ever felt like they're different or don't fit in, I want you to take that as a victory and know you're not alone. I want to send love into the universe because we desperately need it," Cyrus said to the crowd as her beau watched her give her speech.
The publication also noted that Hemsworth was very supportive of the young starlet, giving her space as she conversed with other guests and took pictures with her fans. Cyrus seemed to enjoy the luncheon, even posting photos of the night on her Instagram account.
The 26-year-old Australian actor also seems to be happy with their current relationship, likewise posting a throwback photo of him and Cyrus from when they worked together on "The Last Song."
Hemsworth and Cyrus previously dated and became engaged. However, in 2013, the couple called off their engagement and broke up. Earlier this year in January, they were seen together in Australia and have since reconciled.
Cyrus is currently serving as a coach on NBC's "The Voice," while Hemsworth recently starred in the sci-fi film "Independence Day: Resurgence."
