Nearly a month after its digital release, the release date of the Minecraft: Xbox One Edition disc version is coming up on Nov. 18, along with the new features and the same affordable price tag.

"It's Minecraft any way you please this holiday— whether buying the disc, downloading directly onto your Xbox One, or grabbing a digital download code or gift card from participating retailers. And to all you veteran Minecrafters who've already been playing Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition, don't forget you can digitally upgrade for $4.99," said the Xbox Wire blog.

The Minecraft: Xbox One Edition disc version can be purchased for $19.99.

The Xbox One Edition is said to be 36 times larger compared to the Xbox 360 game and carries native 1080p at 60 FPS.

When played over Xbox Live, at least 8 players can share the experience of playing Minecraft. The next-gen sandbox game also feature faster draw time and greater draw distance.

The digital version of Minecraft: Xbox One Edition was launched a day after the game was made available for PS4.

In the same way, PS4 gets the earlier release date for the disc version, which is slated for Oct. 3.

This is going to be one of the major releases following Microsoft's acquisition of Minecraft makers, Mojang.

The tech giant purchased the studio for $2.5 billion.

Mojang has released a statement that the reason behind the deal was Notch, the game creator and major shareholder of the company "doesn't want the responsibility of owning a company of such global significance."

The news came on the heels of the disappointing sales of Xbox One in Japan, the home turf of Sony PlayStation.
