'Mortal Kombat X' Kombat Pack 3 DLC release date at EVO 2016?

(Mortal Kombat)NetherRealm Studios founder Ed Boon might unveil the "Kombat Pack 3" at EVO 2016.

One of NetherRealm Studios' famous titles, "Mortal Kombat X," will be one of the games that will be showcased at Evolution 2016 (EVO 2016) in Las Vegas, Nevada this coming month. There are speculations that NetherRealm Studios' founder Ed Boon might be announcing the latest downloadable content (DLC) for "Mortal Kombat X," dubbed as "Kombat Pack 3."

Reports say that Boon thought of EVO 2016 as the perfect venue to reveal the latest segment for "Mortal Kombat X." However, fans will just have to wait until next month on what Ed Boon has in store for them.

Moreover, it's a fact that "Mortal Kombat X" still has some missing characters that are yet to be added to the game such as the long-haired Sindel who also happens to be the reluctant other half of Shao Kahn and mother to Princess Kitana. Another character who's missing in action is the masked combatant Rain.

Meanwhile, since Boon stays mum on what he's about to reveal in the said event, fans are making wild guesses on what to expect from EVO 2016.

As mentioned earlier, Boon might finally unveil the much-awaited "Kombat Pack 3" DLC to fans.

Another speculation is that since EVO 2016 is a fighting game tournament, and "Mortal Kombat X" is part of the official game lineup, there's a big probability that the champion for the "Mortal Kombat" tournament on the said event might bring home a bigger prize aside from the base winnings.

There are also speculations that "Mortal Kombat X" will now be playable on the PC. Fans would recall that NetherRealm Studios decided not to include PCs as one of the game's platforms, but if this rumor is true, then PC gamers are in for a treat this year.

Furthermore, fans are also guessing of a costume pack to be added to the game as a DLC or an additional downloadable character, in the form of Rain, might be the latest addition to the roster and that would serve some sort of tribute to the late musician Prince. Whether it's just coincidence or not, it was revealed from previous "Mortal Kombat" titles that he is a royalty, his name being Rain, and he is colored purple.

EVO 2016 will be held on July 15–17 in Las Vegas.
