Many fans of the fighting game "Mortal Kombat X" are still expecting a third expansion for the video game to be released. The new downloadable content (DLC) pack will supposedly feature more characters that will be included in the roster. The launch of the expansion is expected to happen this fall of 2016.

According to reports, the upcoming DLC is called the "Kombat Pack 3" and it is speculated that along with some new characters, there will also be some who will be returning from previous installments of the franchise. Among the characters expected to be included in the new DLC pack are Fujin, Baraka, Rain, Sindel, and Noob Saibot.

Baraka was already released during the second expansion, but players were hoping for more of his appearance. He is a powerful warrior that was crossbred between the dwellers of the Outworld and the Netherealm.

As stated in reports, there were already two Kombat Packs that were released before. The first DLC included two characters from two different movie franchises. They were Jason Voorhess, who is the killer from "Friday the 13th," and Predator from the classic sci-fi horror flim, "Predator." The other two characters included in the DLC were from previous "Mortal Kombat" games, Tanya and Tremor.

The second expansion also has characters from popular horror films. Its roster included Leatherface, which is the killer in "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre," while the other one is the Xenomorph from the "Alien" movie franchise. Bo' Rai Cho also made an appearance in the second installment, and an original character created by "Mortal Kombat" was also introduced here as Tri-Borg.

Furthermore, there are rumors that the DLC packs will soon be coming to the PC version of the game. It was not released before for PC as it was only launched for the two consoles, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

"Mortal Kombat X" was launched worldwide for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One back in April 14, 2015 and it was developed by NetherRealm Studios. "Kombat Pack 3" is expected to arrive during fall of 2016.
