With the launch of the new Moto X Style, Motorola has proven that they take into serious consideration their customers' interests when redesigning their devices. And with so many successful smartphones present in the market, including Apple's iPhone 6, it needs to make sure that it can keep up with them if it wants to be a success. Here is how these two devices compare.

Design

Even with a plastic body, the Moto X Style has the appearance of a premium phablet. It allows customers to choose from different materials such as silicone, leather, or wood for its back panel, though its front panel only comes in either black or white. Just like last year's model, however, there is metal frame on the device, as well as accents in matching colors.

As for the iPhone 6, it has a sleek aluminum body that has beautiful rounded edges and it comes in three colors, gray, gold and silver. It also has a fingerprint sensor, a feature not available on the Moto X Style.

Display

When it comes to size and display quality, the Moto X Style has a huge advantage as it has a bigger and sharper version. It comes with a display measuring 5.7 inches with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and a density of 520 pixels per inch while the iPhone 6 has an IPS LCD screen measuring 4.7 inches with a resolution of 750 x 1334 pixels and a density of 326 pixels per inch.

Specs

The phablet from Motorola has an advantage over the iPhone 6 as it comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chipset along with a hexa-core CPU comprised of four Cortex-A57 cores clocked 1.8 GHz and four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.44 GHz and an Adreno 418 GPU. The iPhone 6, on the other hand, comes with an Apple A8 chipset a Cyclone CPU with two cores clocked at 1.4 GHz and a PowerVR GX6450 GPU.

Memory

There is a memory slot which allows for the addition of up to 128 GB of external storage on the Moto X Style and it has 3 GB of RAM. As for the iPhone 6, it has no memory slot so users would have to choose the variant best suited for their needs. It comes with only 1 GB of RAM onboard.

Camera

The camera on the Moto X Style has been significantly improved. It now has a 21 megapixel rear camera while the iPhone 6 only has an 8 megapixel shooter.

Price

The 16 GB iPhone 6 is priced at $199 with a two-year contract while the unlocked Moto X Style Pure Edition costs around $399.
