'Mr. Robot' season 2 spoilers: Darlene's paranoia on being captured is consuming her in episode 4

(Facebook/WhoIsMrRobot)Darlene is getting paranoid in "Mr. Robot" season 2.

Darlene (Carly Chaikin) is very close to a mental collapse over who to trust in the upcoming season of "Mr. Robot."

In the episode titled "eps2.2init1.asec," the synopsis reveals that Elliot's (Rami Malek) sister is getting paranoid because the cops are close to figuring out the culprits behind the E Corp attack. Darlene fears that the FBI knows a little too much about what truly happened and is scared that the trail will lead to her. Aside from her fear of being captured, she also cannot trust her former friends. The fsociety members are being too suspicious of everything. They cannot even trust each other. They are all frightened that the FBI or the Dark Army will turn up on their doorstep soon.

Darlene is right to feel wary about the FBI. With Dominique (Grace Gummer) determined to flush out the true criminals behind the five/nine attack, the fsociety cannot afford to relax. The agent has just uncovered a vital detail about Romero's (Ron Cephas Jones) murder. Dom and her group now know that the dead hacker was connected to Mobley (Azhar Khan). Sooner or later, Darlene's name will also surface.

Gummer said during the recently concluded Comic-Con International that her character is not the type to easily give up on a chase.

"She has an instinct about who did it and why they did it. She'll stop at nothing to find that out. I think she uses her work to cover up her own issues that she deals with. What you see at first is not what you're going to get. ... Like everyone else, she's a very complicated, layered, weirdo," she said (as per The Hollywood Reporter).

Meanwhile, Elliot's inner battle with Mr. Robot (Christian Slater) continues. Although the hacker is determined to get the other man out of his system, it is proving to be a very difficult task. Even his new friend Ray (Craig Robinson) can only tell him to do his best and make peace with the enemy to stop the battle within. When will these hallucinations end for Elliot?

"Mr. Robot" airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. EST on the USA network.
