'Mr. Robot' season 2 spoilers, news: After-show program 'Hacking Robot' to be hosted by Andy Greenwald

(Mr. Robot / Facebook)"Mr. Robot" will return for a second season on Wednesday, July 13, at 10 p.m. on USA.

The season 2 premiere of "Mr. Robot" is just around the corner and the hype is increasingly building up with each passing day. With all the excitement surrounding the upcoming season comes news that a new after-show titled "Hacking Robot" will be hosted by Andy Greenwald and will premiere on the very same day.

Greenwald is known for co-hosting "After the Thrones," the after-show series that followed "Game of Thrones" during its sixth season run. He has also co-hosted "The Watch," a podcast involving the same HBO fantasy drama series.

Fans will be happy to know that the second season will have two more episodes than the first, with USA ordering a dozen episodes this time around. Moreover, creator Sam Esmail is set to helm all 12 episodes of the second season, Deadline reported.

Season 2 of "Mr. Robot" has been met with good reviews thus far, being called "one of the most visually remarkable hours on television." Given that, it looks like the next chapter in Esmail's work of art will not disappoint.

But the success of the dramatic thriller's first season certainly weighed in on the show's stars. While speaking to E! News, Rami Malek, who plays the lead role of Elliot Alderson, shared his thoughts on the show's growing popularity and success.

"It's something you get really excited and proud of, but then it humbles you because it's like, 'How are we going to do this all over again? How can we?' So there was a lot of pressure, but I swear it was the first day we shot the second season and we fell right back into place. Everybody was in there, they knew what they had to do," Malek gushed.

Christian Slater, who plays the titular Mr. Robot, also praised the show's creator and writers. "There was less anxiety around it because Sam was so prepared," he said.

"Mr. Robot" season 2 will premiere on Wednesday, July 13, on USA.
